Welcome!

Welcome to our weekly Watership Down Readaloud, which we envision to be a cozy, shared space where our cherished family traditions meet the magic of storytelling.

For as long as I can remember, my mom has been the voice behind the words of Watership Down. Growing up, her unique accents and narrations transformed every page into an adventure for my brother and me. In college during the pandemic, we picked up the tradition again when she would read to me over the phone if I couldn’t sleep. Over time, that tradition expanded - from my partner to my sister-in-law, and now hopefully to you.

We’re excited to open our virtual doors every Saturday morning, inviting you to join us in a journey of perseverance, courage, and friendship as told through the trials and triumphs of a brave band of rabbits in search of a new home. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful start to your weekend or a moment of connection during challenging times, our readalouds offer a comforting escape into a story that has touched generations.

Join us live on Zoom (linked below), or catch up later on our website where every session is recorded and shared. This is more than just a book reading. It’s a heartfelt tradition, a community of kindred spirits, and a reminder that even in the toughest times, we can find strength in the stories that unite us.

Welcome, and thank you for being a part of our journey.
